Things such as:
"How are you? No really, how are you?" The tone is pseudo-caring. Really, they do care. It's just weird.
Many people will speak to my wife instead of me and say something like, "does he get out much?", "does he work?", when answered affirmatively, we get responses such as, "that's just great!", "really, good for him!".
I am not a militant handicapped person and I do not look for trouble. I am just observant.
More to follow. It just has to happen and I have to remember it.
